Onion or Pyaz  is used in cooking and as salad .

It has  strong distinctive smell which linger on person’s breath for long.

It come under Tamsik( dark) food category so who are on spiritual path avoid it’s consumption .

Tamasik food increase heat in body , generate negative emotions like anger, arrogance , anxiety etc and cover one’s buddhi (mind)or intellect  results in distraction or lack of concentration .

There are two varieties of onions red and white both are almost similar properties but white one is more heavy to digest and more helpful in bleeding piles.

Heavy to digest,oily, strong and not very hot in potency.

✅It rejuvenate liver.

✅Onion fried in ghee helps in treating cough with phelgm,asthma and  hoarseness of voice.

✅It’s paste applied locally on joint to relieve pain and inflammation.

✅Helpful in piles ( bleeding and dry)

✅Onion with pinch of rock salt increase appetite and digestion.

✅Paste kept over dental carries and inflamed gums relieves pain.

✅It’s juice apply for 10 minutes on scalp  increase shine and growth of hairs.

✅ It is helpful in bleeding disorders like nasal bleeding, heavy period etc.

✅ It is good for eyes.

✅It can be used in   cooking with other vegetables.
✅Can be used in salads (craw onions can cause Gastritis in some people  )

✅Juice 10-15 ml

✅Seed powder 1-3 gm

✅It’s Seeds are aphrodisiac,useful in diabetes and urinary disorders.
