If you think sprouts are most healthy thing then you you should read this post.
Sprouting is process where pulses, grains and legumes are soaked in water for few hours then they are tied in clean clothes, they germinate and these germinated pulses, grains and legumes eaten raw or sometimes cooked.
In raw sprouts mostly other raw vegetables like onions and tomatoes, capsicum etc are also added but eating this uncooked combination vata can increase and cause indigestion .
Pulses are dry, heavy and cause vata aggravation in intestine that is why they are always suggested to consume after soaking, properly cooked with spices and ghee, to make them easy to digest and to balance vata.
Traditionally pulses are not eaten alone they are consumed along with chapati or rice to balance effect of pulses .
Pulses are not eaten in big portions as they are heavy to digest but in sprouts their large quantities are taken.
☘️So don’t eat SPROUTS if you are already suffering from any digestive issues.👍
Why?? 🤔
👉Sprouts are heavy to digest and mostly people eat them in breakfast and in morning digestive capacity is already low eating sprouts in morning will make digestion sluggish and if you regularly eat them then they can cause many health problems.✅
👉They are hot in potency so completely avoid it in acidity, burning sensation and bleeding disorders.✅
👉 In old, children and pregnancy where digestive capacity is already low they should also avoid sprouts. ✅
In process of sprouting chemical changes are going on in seed which help it to sprout in this stage it is not suitable for consumption, in Ayurveda at least one year old grains and pulses are suggested to eat.
🙄So who can eat sprouts ??
✅If your digestion is strong and you regularly do exercise then you can take them once or twice in a week that too after cooking with ghee, jeera and hing which makes them light to digest.
Don’t eat anything according to trend but eat as per your tradition and body conditions.
