Kulathi dal or horse grams

It is used in ayurveda in many conditions both internally and externally.

🌷 It is astringent in taste , light to digest , hot and piercing in nature. Balance vata and kapha dosha.

Uses


👉 It specially acts on kidney stones,helps in removing stones from kidney and prevent their formation.

👉 It improves digestion, relieves constipation, bloating and excessive belching. Avoid it in conditions of hyperacidity.

👉 It helps in weight loss.

It reduces fat around tummy, for that apply its paste on body and include it in diet as well.


👉 It helps in maintaining healthy cholesterol level.


👉Useful in respiratory disorders, asthma, cough, cold, rhinitis, sinusitis and difficulty in breathing.


👉 It is useful in dry piles.Person with bleeding piles should avoid it.


👉 In condition of swelling and inflammation it should be used both internally and externally.


👉In PCOD, delayed and scanty periods, bulky uterus and fibroid, horse gram should be included in diet. Avoid it in heavy periods.


👉It is helpful in Fatty liver.


👉 Person who is overweight and has Diabetes should include it in diet.

Who should Avoid it?


In conditions like Gout, bleeding disorders, burning sensation and hyperacidity it should be avoided .

How to use horse gram ?


👍Soup, dal and khichdi can be made using whole dal or its powder.


👍Apply its powder on body and massage with it as this will help in weight loss and relieves excessive sweating.
👍 Apply its paste locally in joint pain and swelling.
