Tips to prevent dry skin during the winter.

❄️Winter is a time when skin gets dry,dull, chapped and rough but it best opportunity also to nourish skin as skin is more receptive in winter.

❄️Due to dry,cold and windy weather vata dosha increases which causes skin dryness ,by following vata pacifying diet and lifestyle one can prevent skin from winter damage.

❄️Skin reflect inner health so it is very important to take special care not only externally but also what you eat.

1.Abhyang– Oil is opposite in nature of vata ,it is best to counter vata , include abhyang ( massage ) in daily routine . Self abhyang can be done with sesame oil, mahanarayan oil,eladi oil, chandanbalalakshadi oil etc once in week you can visit any ayurvedic centre for abhyang . If someone take warm water bath without oil massage  it can increase dryness of skin . Oil massage on scalp prevent dandruff .

✅Put 4-4 drops of oil or ghee in nostril to prevent dryness and dullness of mind in winters


2. Have warm food only , avoid dry and cold food. Avoid raw vegetables and juices. ☘️

3. Include ghee and milk in diet.☘️

4.Warm ghee can be applied on skin ,on cracked lips or heels.☘️

5. Include natural oil containing food in diet like sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds,flax seed, peanut, cashew nuts, almond, walnut, pine nuts, pistachio, soyabean and mustard in diet. Include amla, spinach, carrot, pumpkin ,papaya,root vegetables etc. in diet. ☘️

✅Include garam masala spices in food.

6. Keep body covered with warm clothes. Avoid direct contact with air, keep ears covered ☘️

7. Avoid excessive use of tea and coffee . In winter generally people tend to consume more tea or coffee but due to there diuretic action they remove water from body which  causes dry skin,so drink warm water instead.☘️

8. Do regular exercise or yoga in morning to remove toxins.☘️

9. Do not use chemical products on skin , instead of soap you can use natural ingredients like malai, besan, turmeric,milk, almond etc to clean face and body. Use Ayurvedic oil like kumkumadi oil on face in place of cold creams. ☘️

10. Take good sleep at night, avoid day time sleep.☘️

11. Take chywanprash regularly as it is best anti-aging , it gives nourishment to skin , prevent early aging of skin.✅
