Do not consume nightshade vegetables like tomatoes, potatoes, capsicum and eggplant and onion, garlic on daily basis.

👉In Ayurveda properties of any material is not solely decided on nutrient content but according to their ras, gun, virya, vipak and prabhav effect of material is decided .

👉In ayurveda dravyas or food material  are classified in two categories which ahar dravya and aushadh dravya.

1.Ahar dravyas – which can be consumed on daily basis like milk, ghee, vegetables, pulses, rice etc.

2. Aushadh dravyas – which should be consumed occasionally for therapeutic purpose to correct imbalances.

Nightshade vegetables, onion and garlic comes under this category.

👉Yes as per researches these vegetables are  useful in many health conditions but they are not suitable for daily consumption.

👉Nightshade vegetables are toxic they contain neurotoxin like atopin, nicotine, salonin etc.
👉They are addictive
, they travel quickly in body to spread their toxicity.

👉They vyavayi (travel rapidly, disturb vibrational channels of body, spread toxicity) and vikasi( impact nerves, over dilate body channels, loosen joints, causes sluggishness and  destroy ojas)

👉Night shade vegetables causes inflammation, joint damage and joint pain.

👉They cause excessive loss of calcium from bone and excessive deposits of calcium in soft tissues.

👉Similarly garlic also  has  immense health benefits but it is tamsic that is toxic for mind that is why it should not be used as ahar but aushadh dravya , that is it  should be consumed  only when required in medicinal dose.

👉Onion is same in properties as garlic both onion and garlic harm friendly bacteria in our gut which are important for immunity and and minerals absorbtion.

👉If onion and garlic are consumed daily as ahar they infuse mind and behavior with rajasik and tamasik properties like depression, sadness, jealousy, anger, aggression, over stimulation of senses, increased sexual desire, lethargy, lack of concentration and ignorance.

👉They hinder the satva to guide mind.

👉They aggravate  disease, cause inflammation, slow down and clog circulation.

🌷So if you think nightshade vegetables, onion and garlic are natural and can be consumed think again as every thing natural may not be suitable as food.
