Know the external and internal uses of Mustard.

🌺Mustard is used worldwide in food .

🌺In Ayurveda it is used both internally and externally there are mainly 2 varieties white and brown both have almost similar properties.

🌺It is light to digest, bitter and pungent in taste, penetrative and hot in potency.

🌺It is rich in dietary fibers , minerals vitamin ( A,C,K,B complex) and essential oil.

🌺 Part used- seeds and seed oil.

🌺Mustard seeds or Rai benefits

👉It regulate metabolism,increase digestive strength , relieve stomach pain, relieve gas , cramps and constipation. ☺️

👉 Good for bone and teeth. 😁

👉It is a cardiac tonic, decrease cholesterol and triglycerides levels . 😍

👉 In headache put 2-2 drops of oil in each nostril to get relief.

👉It is used in skin diseases like in itching, abscess, boil and eczema. 🤩

👉It relieves worms infestation.

👉It is used in psychiatric disorders. (put in nose).

👉It is useful in splenomegaly.

👉 It is used in hearing issues.

👉 Good to use in throat diseases.

👉Mustard is anti aging as it is full of anti oxidants. 😎

👉It is antifungal and antimicrobial.

🌺Mustard or Rai External Use

✅It’s paste is prepared by grounding it with water and applied only for 5 to 10 minutes and if one feel burning then remove immediately. Apply paste in following conditions-

1.It improves blood circulation in paralysis if applied locally.

  1. Its paste quicken pus formation in abscess
  2. In arthritis it’s paste helps in reducing stiffness in joint and hence improve joint flexibility.
  3. In itching.

🍀 It’s oil when applied on scalp promote hair growth and prevent cough and cold when applied on chest and back.

🌷 Cautions

❎It should
be avoid if there is burning sensation , burning urine , acidity and bleeding disorders
❎ If use in excess it can irritate stomach, intestine and sometimes causes bleeding problem.

❎ Pitta prakriti person should not use it moderation
.
❎ It can be used in children, pregnancy, lactation in small amount.

✅ Use 1-2 gm of mustard in cooking food along with ghee is best way to use.
